The swearing ceremony of Conrad K Sangma and his council of ministers was organised in the spacious gardens of Raj Bhavan. While everything looked set for the ceremony, the microphone used by the Chief Minister to take oath remained off throughout.
Most of those who were sitting at a distance from the stage could not hear Sangma’s words due to the technical snag or oversight.
However, as soon as the CM ended his oath, necessary arrangements were made by the sound team and the microphone started working, with all the subsequent ministers heard loud and clear.
