The Meghalaya Public Service Commission has received another criticism over its procedures, this time in relation to the selection process of typists.
In a letter to the MPSC chair today, the Hynniewtrep Youths Council (HYC) referred to the recruitment of 18 typists currently underway.
A typing speed test was conducted last month, following a screening test in April last year.
However, the pressure group claims that the MPSC’s decision to recommend candidates based on both tests instead of only the speed test violates laid down rules and it is demanding that only the speed test be considered.
