North-Eastern Region (NER) Shillong won the final of the Powergrid Inter-Regional Football Tournament 2023 over Corporate Centre (CC) 2-0 at Polo Ground here today.
The goals were scored by Dao Wohni Sutnga and SP Zou.
At the prize distribution ceremony, Ashish Tamang of Eastern Region-II was declared Best Goalkeeper, while the champion team’s Zou and Laldinpuia won the Golden Boot and Player of the Tournament awards respectively.
Dignitaries on the final day included Powergrid Executive Director Upananda Kataki, DGM Corporate Centre SK Sharma, Senior General Manager MK Baruah, SR GM (HR) Anjan Sanyal and the Meghalaya Football Association’s Cliff Nongrum.
