On arriving in their hometown today following the laurels they earned at the 43rd World Arm Wrestling Championship 2022 in Turkey, three armwrestlers from Meghalaya, who were part of the Indian team, were welcomed by thousands of people from Ri-Bhoi.
Margaret Pathaw had won gold, Angel Mary Mylliem Umlong Khunsyiem bronze and Alexander Lyngdoh bronze in their respective categories.
The Meghalaya Arm Wrestling Association received the athletes on their arrival at Guwahati airport and they were escorted to Nongpoh and then Umsning where they were warmly received by the public.
