Residents of Nongpoh in Ri Bhoi district today complained about the water shortage in the area and urged the PHE Department to address the issue.
They said it was unfortunate that people are left parched even during the monsoons as water supply to most of the areas in the district headquarter is irregular and inadequate to meet everyday consumption.
Residents presume that the water pipes are blocked by debris after the rain and urged the rangbah shnongs to take necessary action and take up the matter with the department concerned.
