North-Eastern Hill University’s (NEHU) Inter College Football (Men) Tournament 2023 began today at the SAI Football Ground.
Prof Lakhon Kma was the chief guest at the opening ceremony. Also present was N Das, Assistant Director (PE and Sports) at NEHU, who is also the organising secretary of the tournament.
The big result today saw St Anthony’s College, Shillong, trounced Tura’s Don Bosco College 8-0. Sohra Government College also beat NEHU Tura 3-0, while Ri-Bhoi College edged St Dominic College, Shillong, 3-2. Morningstar College were 4-3 victors over KL Bajoria College.
Thirty-two colleges comprising some 700 players and officials are taking part in the tournament, which will run until August 31.
