A three-day Government Achievements and Schemes Expo in New Delhi saw North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) receive second prize for excellent achievements in higher education.
NEHU Vice-Chancellor Prof Prabha Sankar Shukla was present with other NEHU faculty on the opening day of the expo on July 20, a press release informed today.
NEHU Tura had a stall that displayed various innovative technologies and products developed by its incubation team under the leadership of R Sasikumar.
There were over 100 stalls at the expo, with institutes from across the country taking part.
NEHU showcased nine novel technologies, which included three patented technologies, nine viable commercial products, well-established food testing laboratory, and a pilot-cum-commercial plant to facilitate customised technology and product development. Some 1,753 visitors stopped by the NEHU stall, the release added.
The expo’s organising committee, after evaluating the stalls, awarded second prize to NEHU.
