The Superintendent of Police of East Khasi Hills has informed that the one way regime imposed on the NEEPCO Road has been revoked due to “unfeasibility”.
The notice was dated May 10 but shared with the media only today.
The steep NEEPCO road was made one way going downhill from May 3, with vehicles coming up to Laitumkhrah having to take the road past BK Bajoria School. The SP did not explain what made the one way regime, made to reduce traffic congestion, unfeasible.
