A six-seater battery-operated vehicle was donated by NEEPCO to the Military Hospital in Shillong on Thursday as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for 2024-25.
During the handover ceremony, GOC of 101 Area, Lt Gen Sanjay Malik, highlighted the vehicle’s significance in aiding veterans with easier access to various hospital departments. He also reaffirmed the Military Hospital’s role as first responders to accidents on nearby roads, stating that the vehicle would enhance their efficiency in such situations.
NEEPCO Director (Personnel), Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha, expressed gratitude to the Military Hospital for its dedicated service to both army personnel and civilians in Shillong.
The NEEPCO team was also felicitated during the event in recognition of their contribution.
