Shillong, Jul 28: Khadsawphra College held its graduation ceremony on Friday to honour the nearly 500 students who have completed their BA and BCom (Hons) degrees for the 2022-25 period.
There were 425 students who graduated with a BA and 70 who secured a B.Com degree.
The chief guest on the occasion were Education Commissioner and Secretary Vijay Kumar Mantri, who praised the college for its progress in all aspects despite not receiving any assistance from the government and he expected that the institute will be able to provide better services in the years to come.
In 2017, when it was established, there were only 57 students, compared to 642 students in 2025.
On this occasion, the Kitdor Memorial Award was distributed to the toppers of the college and the students of Class 12. Certificates were distributed to all students who completed their degrees by Mantri.
