CBSE syllabus and NCERT textbooks will be implemented in ten subjects for Classes 11 and 12 in Arts stream in Meghalaya.
The State government has given its approval for adoption of CBSE Syllabus and NCERT textbooks for the subjects comprising English Core, English Elective, Geography, History, Home Science, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.
The new textbook syllabi shall be implemented from the forthcoming academic year 2024-2025.
The other remaining subjects will follow the existing syllabus and textbooks recommended by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE).
