NPP leaders in Nartiang have slammed their own MLA, Sniawbhalang Dhar for making tall claims about his performance in the last five years.
In an email statement here today the Nartiang Constituency Election Committee of the NPP castigated Dhar on how he claimed to have spent Rs 562 crores in various development works when there are shortfalls in delivering schemes for the welfare of the people.
“Roads are ridden with potholes, we have not seen much of the central, state or MLA scheme reach the constituency,” NPP block secretary Donbok Syngkren stated. He said roads in many villages from Nartiang to Sehlama and even up to Namdong are never attended and are filled with potholes.
Syngkrem said what surprises the party leaders is Dhar’s claim of having provided potable tap water to most villages through his MLA scheme. “We know for a fact that potable tap water was provided to villages through the central project, the Jal Jeevan Mission but he and some party leaders in the constituency have misled the people,” he added.
Besides not being happy with Dhar’s performance in delivering the MLA scheme since 2018, the party workers and supporters said he should contest from the BJP as they are not happy with the performance of the NPP and the “criticisms that its supporters are dividing the jaitbynriew.”
