Sohra MLA Gavin Mylliem today said that repairs to the road between Umtyngngar and Sohra are on the cards after he raised the issue with Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.
The road repairs had begun in 2012 but were not complete. The issue was then raised in the Assembly and he also wrote to the CM on the matter.
“We discussed that funds for the repair of this road should be through the Systematic Maintenance Programme at a cost of Rs 12 crore,” Mylliem said at a base laying ceremony of a 3.36km road under Elaka Laitlyngkot today. This road will be built at a cost of Rs 2.70 crore.
