Shillong, Aug 14: The Meghalaya Programme for Outdoor Work Experience, Research and Education (MPOWER) on Friday signed a four-year contract with Global Agri System Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen its Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework.
Under the engagement, Global AgriSystem will undertake continuous monitoring and periodic evaluation of MPOWER throughout the project period. This will include baseline assessment, quarterly monitoring, and midline and endline assessments to measure progress, implementation quality and outcomes.
A key focus will be on assessing outcomes among adolescents, including wellbeing, education, school retention and dropout, life skills, health, empowerment, access to services, and transitions to higher education, skills and employment.
The firm will also strengthen digital monitoring and Management Information System support through technology-enabled data collection and analysis, with findings integrated into the MPOWER Project MIS for evidence-based management and reporting.
As part of the process, Global AgriSystem will engage with in-school and out-of-school adolescents, schools, communities, youth centres, frontline workers and government departments to capture beneficiary experiences and implementation challenges.
The engagement will further focus on translating M&E findings into actionable evidence through periodic analytical reports and recommendations to MBMA/MPOWER to support course correction and improve effectiveness.
Officials said the contract marks a key step toward strengthening accountability and results-oriented programme management for MPOWER across Meghalaya.
The contract was signed in the presence of Vijay Kumar Mantri, Co-Project Director, MPOWER and Commissioner & Secretary, Education Department, Dr Ravendra Singh, Senior Adviser, ISS (Retd.), Global Agri System Pvt. Ltd. and Shri Wankit Kupar, Deputy Project Director, MPOWER.
