Ten deserving students from Martin Luther Christian University received free laptops as part of the ‘Covid Response Provision’ of Federal Bank at an event here today.
The sponsored laptops were presented to students who had enrolled in MLCU through the university’s Free Covid Scholarship 2021. The students are from different departments and mostly belong to lower income households.
The event was attended by Federal Bank representatives Noyal Baby, Nijil PJ and Sabu RS, as well as MLCU board members, officers, faculty, staff and students.
MLCU had conducted surveys among the students and had identified those who did not use technological devices, which hindered their learning. In order to provide them with greater support, the university, in collaboration with Federal Bank, decided to give these laptops to the 10 selected students.
