North Shillong legislator Adelbert Nongrum was on Saturday morning rushed to Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore, due to a recurring illness.
In the last week of April Nongrum was treated at H. Gordon Roberts Hospital, Shillong for stones in his gall bladder.
However even after the procedure it seems he had other complications and the hospital referred him to CMC Vellore.
The legislator was rushed to the Umroi Airport on Saturday at around 10:30 am and from there he was taken to Vellore in an air ambulance.
Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma and leader of opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma and Cabinet Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh visited the ailing legislator in recent days.
