A truck used for transporting materials for construction of the Nongstoiñ-Wahkaji road set ablaze by unknown miscreants.
The Synjuk ki Nongshynshar Shnong (SNS) of Rangblang said that the incident happended at around 2 am on October 23.
Condemning such acts the synjuk lamented that this will affect the project, which people are anxious for its completion.
The 43-km road is under construction at an estimated amount of Rs 192 crore by Russia-based company, VozrozHdenie since December 25.
The road from Nongstoiñ to Wahkaji after completion will connect the two districts of West and South West Khasi Hills.
