Unidentified miscreants have made a failed attempt to burn down an unused room of a building located in the campus of the government weighbridge at Umling in the wee hours today.
As per the report, some workers living in the campus spotted flames and were able to douse it on time. They later called up police who rushed to the site.
Police said the incident occurred at around 1:30 am. A FIR has been lodged and further investigation is underway into the case.
