The Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has achieved certification in its quality management systems and environment management systems.
These certifications (ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015) highlight the MIDC’s focus on quality management and environmental sustainability, a press release said today.
MIDC is the only state public sector undertaking (PSU) in Meghalaya to have received both certifications. “This dual certification reflects the Corporation’s commitment to delivering high-quality services while minimising environmental impact,” the release added.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification relates to the MIDC’s delivery of services in plot allotment, loan processing for homes and businesses and building construction.
With regards to ISO 14001:2015, the MIDC’s Environmental Management System (EMS) adheres to ISO’s rigorous requirements, the corporation said.
