Shillong, Nov 4: Meghalaya has been awarded the ‘Dual Platform Achiever’ for its unique distinction of ensuring integration with both DigiLocker and Entity Locker platforms of NeGD.
The Information Technology & Communication Department (IT&C) represented by Commissioner & Secretary Pravin Bakshi received the award during the DigiLocker/EntityLocker conference organised by the National eGovernance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeiTY) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi today.
The conference is envisaged as a platform to bring together senior policy makers, regulators, representatives from the state governments and union territories, industry leaders, academia, and technology partners.
The deliberations focused on advancing the future of trusted digital document exchange in India and Digi Locker’s role as a cornerstone of citizen-centric governance and a vital component of India’s digital public infrastructure, with emphasis on its expanding applications in government services, education, FinTech and value-added services.
By adopting both platforms, Meghalaya has demonstrated leadership in future-ready governance, the IT&C Department said.
