The Central government has allocated Rs 786.15 crore to Meghalaya as an additional fund towards implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
Taking to his X handle, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed that this bonus installment to Meghalaya’s JJM implementation brought this year’s total allotment to Rs 1500 crore.
“Expressing gratitude to the Government of India for allocating an additional Rs. 786.15 crore as a bonus installment to Meghalaya’s Jal Jeevan Mission, bringing this year’s total allotment to Rs. 1500 crore. This contribution boosts our endeavour to provide safe and adequate drinking water to every household,” Sangma wrote.
