Shillong, Nov 16: Meghalaya is showcasing its rich cultural heritage and diverse range of products at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025.
The 14-day event, hosted by the International Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), is being held from November 14 to 27 at Pragati Maidan, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The Meghalaya pavilion was inaugurated by Speaker of the Meghalaya Assembly Thomas Sangma today. The entrepreneurs, participating in three batches, are showcased in 12 different stalls.
Visitors to the pavilion can discover a wide array of authentic Meghalayan products, including handloom, handicrafts, woodcarving, pottery, beverages, food processing and spices. The Directorate of Food Processing is showcasing products such as juice, jams, candy, chips, pickles, teas and other indigenous items.
The pavilion also features an impressive display by the Tourism Department, with a photo exhibition of the state’s popular tourist destinations, including its multiple waterfalls, lush green countryside, longest caves, clean rivers, and living root bridges across the Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo Hills, alongside displays of tribal culture and festivals.
