Governor Chandrashekhar H Vijayashankar paid a courtesy call to President Droupadi Murm at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
A statement from the Raj Bhavan here said that the meeting was a cordial exchange that focused on various issues concerning the overall development and welfare of Meghalaya.
The meeting underscored the collaborative spirit between the Central government and the State, aimed at improving the lives of the people and contributing to the nation’s progress.
The President expressed her keen interest in Meghalaya’s growth and assured her continued support to the state’s developmental aspirations. “Both dignitaries shared their mutual commitment to fostering inclusive growth and addressing key challenges faced by the region,” the statement said.
The Governor also invited the President to visit the state for the second time.
