A two-day mega vaccination drive on election mode will be conducted by the East Khasi Hills district administration in Mawkynrew and Nongkrem Assembly constituencies on January 11 and 12.
The camps will include Covid-19 vaccination for people of 15 years and above as well as registration of unorganised workers for eSHRAM, Aadhaar enrolment and Aadhaar seeding for Ration Card Holders.
Deputy Commissioner, Isawanda Laloo has advised eligible persons to avail of the opportunity of getting vaccinated at the nearest polling station, more so in the light of the rising cases of Omicron variant, which has been designated as a variant of concern by the World Health Organization. Vaccination is seen as the most effective tool to protect ourselves and our loved ones from severe illness, hospitalization and death.
