Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem has expressed concern about prolonged and frequent power cuts in Ri Bhoi district and wants the government to immediately install the power station in Nongpoh.
Speaking to reporters today, Syiem said frequent power disruptions has inconvenienced residents who want prompt solutions to the problem since it has affected their livelihood.
While expressing gratitude to the state government for its proposed setting up the Rs 78 crore 132 KV power station, he hoped that it would alleviate the problems of the people after its installation.
