Among the 11 villages that fall under Nongpoh Town Committee, Mawdiangum has been selected the cleanest village in the area.
This was announced by the office of the Deputy Commissioner during the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 programme held here.
The event was graced by Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem in the presence of Additional DC Raja Brahma, NTC chairman Successful Lyngdoh, village headmen, teachers and students.
On this occasion, the DC’s office also encouraged various village cleaners within the Nongpoh Town area by awarding prizes to those who have been actively involved in maintaining cleanliness in their respective villages.
