Shillong, Oct 8: The State Process Lab on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan was organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MOTA) in collaboration with the Bharat Rural Livelihood Foundation (BRLF) and the State Rural Employment Society (SRES) from September 23 to 26, a delayed press release informed today.
The training was conducted simultaneously at Tura and Shillong, where 61 District Master Trainers participated.
The inaugural session was held on September 23 in the presence of V Deka, Director of the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs, who joined through video conference. Other dignitaries included Sibhi Chakravarthy Sadhu, Meghalaya Secretary of Community and Rural Development, Aiban Swer, Director of the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority, and laraphunlin Diengdoh, Joint Mission Director of SRES.
Addressing the participants, Deka presented an overview of the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, outlining its objectives, strategy and rollout plan. She elaborated on the implementation approach, village action plan formulation, visioning exercises and the expected outcomes and impacts for tribal communities.
To support the activities under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has allocated Rs 48.41 lakh for targeted districts across Meghalaya.
