Shillong, Feb 25: One Duh Timung was convicted for sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl and sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment.
Timung, a resident of Barato village in West Jaintia Hills, was convicted by Special Judge P Syngkon under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Indian Penal Code.
