South West Garo Hills police recovered 11 grammes of heroin at Mir Jumla junction in South West Garo Hills today.
A police team from Monabari were conducting checks of passing vehicles and stopped a motorbike suspected of bringing in contraband from Mankachar in Assam with the intention of travelling to Tura.
Upon thorough checking, 11g of heroin was found, which was seized by the police. Two people riding the bike were detained for further interrogation.
