The Khadsawphra Sports Association of Mairang has praised on Madonna Langstieh for providing help to improve the KSA’s ground after a cabinet minister supposedly failed to live up to his promise for aid.
In a press release today, sent by KSA general secretary Boldness L Nongum, the association said that the KSA ground was in a terrible state because of heavy rain and its use as a place to teach people learning to drive.
The facility is otherwise used for football, cricket and school sports events.
“The association had tried to search for help from the government to repair the ground,” Nongum said but a minister who promised two years ago to give help has failed to do so.
This minister’s name was given only as “Banteibor” but it is likely that Nongum meant Banteidor Lyngdoh, the Sports and Youth Affairs Minister.
Instead, the KSA has had to rely on private help and thanked Langstieh for enabling the ground to be repaired.
