Maharam Government Higher Secondary School, Mawkyrwat emerged winner of the District Level Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition 2022 conducted by the office of the South West Khasi Hills District School Education Officer today.
Altogether eight schools took part in the exhibition held at the Nativity Higher Secondary School, Mawkyrwat. The second position went to Horirai Higher Secondary School, Photjaud Rangthong and Nativity Higher Secondary School in the third place.
Deputy Commissioner, Caramai Kharkongor attended the exhibition and stressed on the importance of Science and technology in the modern world. She encouraged students to opt for these important subjects, which will not only increase their knowledge, but improve and boost their confidence.
She said that the role and responsibilities of students is to study, explore, create and invent and students should be well equipped and brave enough to face various challenges.
