South West Khasi Hills District Election Officer, Tableland Lyngwa has informed that all necessary arrangements, including security personnel and CCTV cameras, have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of counting of votes on June 4.
He has also urged the public to stay calm and refrain from violence when the poll results of the Lok Sabha elections are announced regardless of the election outcome.
Lyngwa today convened a meeting with the district press and media to discuss on the preparations for the counting of votes, which will begin at 8 am.
He noted that no vehicles or individuals, except those officials and staff appointed for day, would be allowed to enter into the Deputy Commissioner office premises.
