The Shangpung unit of the Khasi Students Union (KSU) held its 3rd Maitshaphrang Academic Awards on Friday to recognise the successes of local youth.
As part of the day’s programme, a quiz was held, which was won by Lummuroo Secondary School, with Kiri Daloi Secondary School second and RMSA third.
Sixteen youngsters were felicitated for their successes in the field of sports, such as taekwondo, rock climbing and kickboxing, with 44 honoured for their high marks in school examinations.
