The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) today released a documentary film chronicling 40 years of its journey.
Entitled, ‘1978 KSU Shirta’ the documentary was released by KSU founder general secretary 1978 batch Geoffrey Basan and president of KSU 1979 batch Michael Syiem.
Basan said the KSU was formed with an aim to uplift and to work towards the welfare of the students.
“Education however appears to have deteriorated and this is because we have forgotten about the student movement,” he said.
Syiem said young and old need to work together with the KSU so it produces leaders to raise issues concerning the community.
