Shillong, May 15: The NEHU unit of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) today met NEHU Shillong’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Sumarbin Umdor, to request immediate action concerning the fourth year syllabus and postgraduate arrangements.
According to the KSU, the students under the first batch of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP), which was implemented under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, will be entering the fourth year soon but there is still no official clarification or publication of the syllabus and academic framework, which is of great concern to the students.
The students’ body also wants clear clarification regarding whether North-Eastern Hill University will introduce proper postgraduate arrangements, including the one-year postgraduate system as envisaged under NEP 2020, for students completing the four-year undergraduate programme.
