The Working President of Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) Thomas Passah has said that the party will keep pressurising the government to do away with Personal Interviews in group B, C, and D government posts in line with the Central Government and 23 other states in the country.
Stating that as a political movement, KHNAM has always been at the forefront of raising various important issues related to the welfare of the Hynniewtrep community, he said that since 2002 when the movement was formed the Inner Line Permit (ILP), Border Settlement, Review of SRP 1972, Change of Inter-State Cadre System, besides others have always been on the top of the party manifesto.
Passah said that it is sad to see that till date these important issues are still far from settlement.
“When we look back in time it is pertinent to say that Governments one after another have failed to live up to the aspiration of the citizens of the State,” he stated.
The KHNAM Working President, however said that despite all the hurdles in the past the movements in its recently concluded General Council have recommit themselves to consistently follow up the important matters to defend the Identity of the Hynniewtrep Community and its welfare.
