Kayakalp awardees in the state were felicitated today. The Kayakalp Award is presented by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to recognise health centres that promote cleanliness, hygiene and infection control as an extension of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Minister of Health and Family Welfare M Ampareen Lyngdoh along with Commissioner and Secretary Joram Beda and Secretary Ram Kumar S today felicitated the awardees today.
In her address, Lyngdoh urged the awardees to deliver the best healthcare services to the people of Meghalaya.
The minister further expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders who are part of the healthcare system and said that better health services will be provided to the people across the state.
Beda, meanwhile, said that Meghalaya is now categorised as a front runner in healthcare service delivery and all of this is because of the staff and their efforts.
