Shillong, Sep 4: A delegation from the Karnataka Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Public Undertakings led by its Chairman Basavaraj Neelappa Shivannanavar called on the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Thomas A. Sangma here today.
The meeting marked an important moment of inter-state engagement, fostering dialogue and strengthening institutional cooperation between the two legislatures.
The interaction with Sangma provided a meaningful platform for the exchange of insights on governance practices and public undertakings, thereby reinforcing the spirit of cooperative federalism and legislative collaboration.
Shivannanavar was accompanied by Araga Jnanendra, M.Y. Patil, and Allamaprabhu Patil, all Members of the Legislative Assembly, along with Umashree and Bharathi Shetti, both Members of the Legislative Council, officers and staff of the Kanataka Assembly.
Deputy Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Timothy D. Shira, along with senior officials including Malthus S. Sangma, Secretary, Raja Kharpuri, Deputy Secretary and Aurelius Warlarpih, OSD to the Speaker were also present.
