A joint visit by representatives of Assam and Meghalaya to the disputed Block 2 region will be fixed soon, member of the Ri-Bhoi regional committee Mayralborn Syiem MLA has informed.
“Chairman of the committee, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, is in touch with his counterpart to discuss and the date should be fixed soon,” Syiem, the MLA for Nongpoh, said.
Pointing out that the Block 2 area is one of the most sensitive, he said, “There is a challenge for the committee and, as members, we do hope to adhere to the aspirations of the people.”
