The dorbar shnong of Pamrapaithlu under Musiang Rangad constituency in East Jaiñtia Hills District has decided to disallow candidates contesting the JHADC election and workers of political parties to enter the village without prior information.
The decision was taken at an executive committee meeting held at the village today chaired by the waheh shnong L. Rymbai.
According to the dorbar the decision was to ensure that no untoward incident breaks out especially when election fever grips the region.
The waheh shnong said contenders will have to contact the voters on their own and such a decision does not mean that the dorbar bars anyone from holding campaigns and that voters are free to choose whom to vote.
