Iowluti Ymbon, a farmer from West Jaintia Hills won the coveted Innovative Farmers’ Award for his exceptional contributions to agriculture and allied sectors.

Ymbon has worked closely with the office of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Jaintia Hills in revolutionizing farming practices and promoting sustainable solutions.
Ymbon has not only brought pride to the Jaintia community and the office but also reinforced the importance of innovation in securing food security and environmental sustainability, the KVK said, adding his achievement not only highlights his personal commitment but also shines a light on the potential for the innovation in moral communities.
Assam agriculture minister Atul Bora handed over the award to Ymbon in the presence of Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Kaziranga MP and Dr. Bidyut C. Deka, Vice Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University.
Ymbon was accompanied by Subject Matter Specialist (AH &Vety), Dr. Rimiki Suchiang, SRF F. Sutnga and K.Passah from KVK, Jaintia Hills.
