The Khasi Students Union and the Federation of Khasi Jaiñtia and Garo People have sought the intervention of the Director Health Services to address shortages in government health centre in War Jaiñtia area.
The pressure groups met DHS, Dr Aman War recently and sought appointment of doctors and to station ambulances at the Jarain, Pdengshakap and Nongtalang PHCs.
They also raised the need to renovate Pdengshakap PHC. The groups said that the meeting was fruitful and hoped that the matters raised would be taken up.
