The investiture ceremony to felicitate officials of Meghalaya Police who were conferred with various prestigious national and state awards was held today at the Parade Ground near the office of the Directorate of Anti-Infiltration here.
Director General of Police, R. Chandranathan presented the medals and scrolls to all the recipients of gallantry, distinguished, meritorious, and excellence awards, who were conferred between 2014 and 2020.
He also presented the DGP’s Commendation Medal for the year 2021, which was awarded to 102 officials of the department, in three different categories which are bronze, silver and gold.
A book titled, “Footprints of Achievements”, which documents the achievements of Meghalaya Police in the past three years, was also released on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Cyber Operations- Technology & Analysis Centre, “COPS-TAC” was inaugurated today at the Police Headquarters in , Shillong by the DGP.
The centre was set up to cater to the growing and dynamic demands to tackle cyber-crime security and related issues.
