The annual conference on Interdisciplinarity COIN-2021 concluded today which was organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya in collaboration with the Department of English Language Education, English and Foreign Languages University, Shillong Campus and Spectrum: An International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences.
This year the two-day online national conference was held online on Literature, Language and Culture of North East India.
The keynote addresses were delivered by Prof. T.K.Bamon, Vice Chancellor, Martin Luther Christian University and Prof. Jyotirmoy Prodhani, Head of the Department of English, NEHU, who delved on the language-culture connection and North East Literature in the 21st century respectively.
Special talks were also delivered by Dr. Khelsoril Wanbe, Bijoya Sawian, Dr. Ksh. Premchandra Singh and Khomdram Guneshwor. Two commencement talks were also delivered by Dr. P. S. Mangang and Dr. Rosy Yumnam.
The online conference saw the participation of paper presenters and listeners from all over the country, which reflects the academic interest in Northeast literature, language and culture.
