The Meghalaya Public Works Department (Roads and Buildings) will host the 222nd mid-term council meeting of the Indian Roads Congress on June 17 to 18.
Over 130 experts in the field of roads, bridges, and highways from across the country will be participating in the deliberations during the Council.
The meeting will be held at the State Convention Centre, Shillong. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will join and address the inaugural function online.
The Indian Roads Congress is the apex body of highway engineers that is responsible for the standardization of practices and formulation of codes in connection with the construction of roads and bridges.
