Shillong, Sep 6: IIT Guwahati will host ‘Abhilasha’ 2025, a flagship design awareness programme for secondary and higher secondary school students in Meghalaya.
The sessions will be held in Tura from September 8 and 9 and in Nongpoh on September 11 and 12. It is a first-of-its-kind career awareness movement that places design, innovation, and creativity at the forefront for the youth of the North East.
The program is supported by Design Innovation Center, IIT Guwahati.
The program highlights career pathways in Design (Department of Design, IIT Guwahati through UCEED), Fashion (NIFT Shillong through NIFTEE), and Design (NID Jorhat through DAT)—alongside opportunities in Management (IIM Shillong through IPMAT), Law (NLU Shillong & NLU Guwahati through CLAT), and Higher Education (CUET).
In Meghalaya, the session will be held in collaboration with the respective Deputy Commissioners, to encourage students to look beyond conventional careers in engineering and medicine.
