IIM Shillong, in association with HDFC Bank, conducted its 4th annual blood donation drive today.
Organized by the Ecobiz Club, the event aimed to contribute to the noble cause of saving lives through blood donation.
Director, Prof DP Goyal inaugurated the drive that saw around 120 participants, including students, faculty, and staff.
A team of 20 medical professionals, including three doctors led by Dr. Richa Sharma RMO of the institute, were present throughout the event.
All the blood donations received during the drive will be directed to the Regional Blood Bank Centre at Pasteur Institute, Shillong.
“This collaboration ensures that the donations will reach those who require immediate medical attention, thereby saving lives within the region. The partnership between IIM Shillong, HDFC Bank, and Pasteur Institute demonstrates the collective efforts made by various stakeholders to address the critical shortage of blood in emergencies,” the IIM said.
