Shillong, Aug 16: As part of the 50th Year Anniversary of NEEPCO’s Foundation Year, a friendly football match was organized between NEEPCO and IIM Shillong at the Madan Heh grounds in Mawlai yesterday.
Despite the steady rain, the floodlit grounds witnessed a thrilling contest between the two teams, with an enthusiastic crowd cheering them on. The match, played in the spirit of Independence Day celebrations, saw both teams display grit and determination from the first whistle.
IIM Shillong managed to break through NEEPCO’s defense, scoring the lone goal of the match and securing a narrow 1-0 victory. The match was a testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, where unity and teamwork outshone the scoreboard.
