The Hynñiewtrep Youths Council (HYC) NEHU Unit today met Vice-Chancellor of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) to demand that back papers for undergraduate and postgraduate students be conducted next month.
The HYC said it was “disheartened” to hear of the non-declaration of back papers. Students who were preparing to sit these back papers will have wasted the examination process and suffer a delay in beginning their careers, the pressure group said.
“The university will be held liable due to such incompetence,” the HYC told reporters. “If the university cares for its students, such incompetency should be restrained and fair participation given to these students to attempt their back papers as per their rights,” they added.
