With less than four months left for the Assembly elections in 2023, the MDA government is on a rush to inaugurate new Community & Rural Development blocks and civil sub-divisions across the State.
Today, the State government notified the creation of the Adokgre Community & Rural Development Block in North Garo Hills. It is the 48th C&RD Block that came up in the State.
Recently, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma had inaugurated the Siju C&RD Block in South Garo Hills.
On November 8, Sangma inaugurated the Rambrai C&RD Block in West Khasi Hills.
Sangma is also set to inaugurate the Lumshnong C&RD Block on November 26.
It is not only C&RD Blocks that the NPP-led government is inaugurating.
On November 11, the chief minister inaugurated the Rongjeng Civil Sub-Division in East Garo Hills.
Sangma has also assured to consider the demand to upgrade Patharkhmah Administrative Unit in Ri-Bhoi district to a civil sub-division.
